The Pastoral Council exists to assist the Pastor in all matters that affect the spiritual and material well-being of the Parish. The role of the Pastoral Council is to nourish a Parish environment that will encourage achievement of the Parish mission. The Pastoral Council is accountable for the development, evaluation and communication of the Parish
mission and goals. Parish Council members are strategic thinkers that help to define our Parish’s direction and develop plans to realize our evangelical objectives.
Do you feel as if you are called to serve your faith community in a larger capacity? Joining the Pastoral Council may be a way to answer that call. Guided by a desire to do God’s work, and make our faith community strong, Pastoral Council members are tasked with being strategic leaders and change agents for St. Mark. The Pastoral Council is a special and practical expression of our responsibility to live and communicate the love and values of Christ. We do this by ensuring that our Parish is poised to move forward into a bright future. We are currently looking for new members to join in a discernment and selection process and will be accepting nominations through March 6th. If you’d like more information about how to join the Pastoral Council please contact Julie Tomko in the main office at [email protected] or (443) 299-6489 and she will put you in touch with a Council member who can answer any questions you might have.
