Family Faith Formation Registration - NOW CLOSED! NO MORE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Faith formation is not something you grow out of, but rather is something you grow more deeply into.
Registration Form
Welcome! Thank you for visiting the St. Mark Faith Formation Registration Page. Please read the following information before you fill out the forms.
First Sacrament preparation is generally made in the 2nd grade. If your child missed last year please sign up at the sacrament link below. (Sacraments Class is now CLOSED)
Confirmation is received in the 9th grade.
To be eligible to go into sacramental preparation you must have been registered and attended Faith Formation last year (2021/2022) and you must be registered for the sacramental prep year (2022/2023). This means First Sacrament families need to sign up for both Family Faith Formation and for Sacramental Preparation. Please register at this link when you have completed the Family Faith Formation form.
St. Mark offers Family Faith Formation on two days - Sunday from 10:00 -11:45 a.m. and Wednesday from 6:00- 7:45 p.m. in the McCall Center Auditorium. A meal is served both days. A calendar of dates can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
Please register all your children regardless of age up to 8th grade in Family Faith Formation. Younger children will go to a prek room with adult supervision while parents stay in the auditorium.
Your payment is based on the number of children who are in a grade level class from K-8. The payment structure is as follows: Families with up to 2 children is $200, families with three or more children is $250 and families who are not registered at St. Mark is $300.
Why do we offer Family Faith Formation and not Religious Education? Religious Education is focused on teaching doctrine, precepts, etc., while Faith Formation supports a relationship with Jesus and the Church.
This Year's Main Topic is Virtue
We will be using the book "The Art of Living" by Edward Sri as our main workbook along with videos from FORMED.ORG on the Virtues as well as from Beloved, Marriage Enrichment.
Our children will be using "The Word of Life" from the Augustine Institute for each grade K-6. This design is on-line with a parent portal, student portal, and a portal for us at the parish. Grade 7 will be using "The Search" and the 8th grade will be in year 1 of Confirmation prep.
