Confirmation is a sacrament of Christian initiation. It is necessary for our on-going conversion. It is one of the three sacraments of initiation which also include Baptism and Eucharist. Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism but not initiation. We need all three sacraments of initiation; but Eucharist not Confirmation completes the initiation because it is an on-going journey. Confirmation is a seal with the Gift of the Spirit. Confirmation is not a sacrament of maturity. This is a misconception as if the adolescent is fully mature in their faith. Formation in faith is a lifelong process and does not end with Confirmation. St. Mark offers Confirmation to young people during 9th grade with class instruction and celebration of the sacrament.
Anyone entering into 9th grade may sign up for Confirmation preparation. We are requesting Confirmation parents attend the Sunday session of Family Faith Formation while your child is in Confirmation Class.
You will need to complete the online registration first, then fill out the Confirmation Packet
