We offer two options for formal Elementary Religious Education here at the parish.
First, is our in class option for Pre-School through 5th grade.
This option consists of a classroom setting with a volunteer catechist and often an aide.
Classes participate in various prayer experiences, church tours and social justice opportunities
that are grade level appropriate to help nurture the Church’s Mission.

Second is our Family Home Study option.
Our first Home Study Meeting for the 2017-2018 year will be on Friday October 20, 2017 at 6:30PM in the Msgr. McCall Center.
This option is family based with parents usually taking on the role of catechist.
Often grandparents or neighbors combine to assist in making this type of religious
education a community responsibility. This program requires families to attend 4 gatherings
on the St. Mark campus throughout the year.
Students are required to turn in Unit Reviews on a regular basis or to use the online Chapter Review links. Completion of the student materials is expected no later than June 30th.

dependent upon countless volunteers.
Adults who serve in the Religious Education ministy are Volunteer Compliant using the Sheild the Vulnerable online training.
“The Archdiocese of Baltimore is committed to healthy ministry, and seeks to engage competent and qualified people.
To protect children and youth all Church personnel are screened to check for their fitness to work with minors.”
