What you should know about the R.C.I.A. The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a program of introduction into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. But more than that, it is a faith journey designed to meet our fundamental spiritual needs as God’s children and help us identify with and become a part of a faith community. The ultimate RCIA goal, to be Eucharist for the world, carries out Vatican II’s vision of what the Church is today — the manifestation of Christ’s presence and grace at work in the world. If you are interested in becoming Catholic and deepening your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if you are seeking to learn about Catholicism as the result of an interfaith marriage or other relationship, have not fully completed the sacraments of initiation, or simply wonder what the journey entails, please contact Charlotte Henderson, Pastoral Associate via email firstname.lastname@example.org or (443) 981-3162. We invite you to explore this opportunity by coming to our RCIA sessions, which meet on Monday evenings beginning in September.
