Mission Statement: To Know Jesus and Make Him Known
The pastoral council consults with and advises the pastor to guide the development, implementation and evaluation of pastoral planning and budgeting efforts.
About the Pastoral Council
Welcome to the Pastoral Council information site. I hope you find the information here useful. We welcome and encourage parishioners and guests interested in our Parish to attend the meetings and share their prayerful thoughts! If you like to contact a member, info is below. Together we share Jesus with our community!
Meetings are every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Msgr. McCall Center. (Except September which is the Pastoral Council retreat)
Our Pastoral Council is a discerning body that represents our parish community. The council collaborates with the Pastor to provide leadership and perspective to living out our parish mission: To know Him and to make Him known. (Were talking about Jesus here.) Our council makes decisions primarily through discernment and consensus.
People interested in serving on the Pastoral Council should contact Fr. Jerry or our current council president to begin a period of discernment. In order to build a council with new members, people are nominated from the pew in the Spring and these people are called and invited into the same discernment.
Our Executive Team Officers (President, VP, and Secretary) are appointed by council members through a discernment process each September.
Our parish fiscal year is July 1 to June 30.
The Pastoral Council comprises of:
- 9 Members at Large elected by the parish
- chairpersons of our standing committees
- our Pastor
- a few members appointed by the Pastor.
