“I can do it all by myself.” That is a cry heard all too often from children or young people who want to assert their independence. Yet, unfortunately, that attitude seems to continue into adulthood for us. We try to do so many things on our own when a good and loving God is waiting to help. The First reading says, “There is no God besides you who have the care of all. Your mastery over all things makes you lenient to all.”
The Letter to the Romans continues this train of thought when it tells us that, even if we are unable to pray, the Spirit will pray for us!
Rely on God. Whether it’s to help you pray, a circumstance in your family or a situation you are concerned about, God is too! Let Him in.
